Located in a street with heavy traffic during the week, and overlooking a creek and bush at the rear, the house was to be an oasis for a couple of creative minds.

Results

A photographer and a woodworker with a love for landscaping and both quiet time and family gatherings, the brief was to include sleeping quarters with large ensuite overlooking the pine trees at the rear, a noisy wood workshop, a photography studio and separate/but together guests area. Workshop and garage were placed on the street frontage to buffer noise and give practical access to machinery. Photography studio follows, with independent access for clients and overlooks the central north-facing pool and bush land beyond.

“When the northern light comes into the house in winter mornings, it feels it with warmth and a sense of home”
