Circulation, flow, privacy, comfort and sense of classic personalised care were a critical part of the design brief in this practice. We started the process with a series of flow diagrams that defined the location of each activity and a circuit that allowed patient and staff flow. The central pod filters access to private areas, and a sequence of multi-purpose interconnected rooms along the perimeter, allows for internal processes to take place with privacy.
Warm light materials in contrast with deep rich accent tones create an elegant and comfortable space, where subtle overhead lighting and privacy screens allow for patients’ relaxation.
Results
Seamless transition from treatment areas to clinical & service zones take place away from the waiting area and adjacent to admin zones for easy communication and servicing. A light filled waiting area shares beautiful suburban views with reception.
