approach
As two professionals with a keen eye for aesthetics, working closely with a plastic surgeon meant a very close client-architect collaboration. The brief included separate areas for the many functions of consulting rooms with minor operations and treatment area, training zones, with staff and patient waiting areas. The design was to reflect the quality of the practice's service and give the patients a sense of spa-like relaxation.
Curves reflect the nature of the human body in a space designed for beauty.
Results
Awarded an Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) Regional Award and shortlisted for the Australian Interior Design award for workplace design, A&R is very close to our heart. Working with just over 100 m2, the challenge was to make areas multi-functional and efficient. The iconic central pod contains the administration areas. Its soft curves are inspired by the human body and bring a sense of gentle care and fluid motion to the clinic. Our designers focused on patient integration, staff comfort and branding simultaneously, and the result speaks for itself.
